Antique Gothic Rosewood Prie Dieu Chair

This is a good 19th Century Victorian Gothic Prie Dieu chair in high quality rosewood with a really striking design dating from 1880. The high back chair is upholstered in a thick tapestry fabric which is in very good condition. The columns have hand carved finials in solid rosewood and the chair has a swag design apron with turned ball terminals. This is raised on its original brass castors which are in good condition.
