Antique Meerschaum & Amber Cheroot Holder 9ct Gold Cigar Holder

A truly handsome piece from the Art Deco era. This Meerschaum, amber and 9ct yellow gold collared cheroot holder is the epitome of Art Deco style and class. Turning everyday items into exuberant and lavish items was the done thing as was a good dose of glamour and pizzaz. These cheroot holders were designed for cigar smokers and kept the smoke or cigarette from touching ones skin or lips. This one is fully hallmarked on both of the collars and is stamped 9.375 for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1919, fully tested as 9ct gold.
