Antique Miniature White Opaline Spherical Chatelaine Gilt Mount Perfume Scent Bottle c.1880

Offered for your consideration is this very attractive antique chatelaine miniature scent bottle most likely of French origin and dating circa 1880. This perfume bottle measures a petite 3.5cm in length excluding the attached suspensory chain and ring. The bottle has a spherical / ball shape and is made of true white opaline glass which when held to the light has wonderful fiery hues. The bottle has decorative pierced gilt metal mount and original suspensory chain and ring so that the bottle could be hung from a chain or chatelaine. The gilt metal hinged lid has attractive repousse decoration and the bottle is lacking the internal stopper.
