Antique Silver and Tortoiseshell Ring Box

This is a beautiful box of real quality. Clearly hallmarked for London 1908 with the maker's mark of the highly collectable silversmith, William Comyns. The lid is fashioned from tortoiseshell with an intricate silver decoration. The velvet interior is styled for rings. The interior of the lid is gilded. There are a couple of light bruises on the body, nothing major, and some duller patches on the lid, none of which is unexpected on an item well over 100 years old. Overall stunning.
