Antique Silver Lidded Ink Well and Pen Stand

This is a beautifully simple ink well and pen stand, manufactured in the middle of the Edwardian era. The solid sterling silver lid is hallmarked for Birmingham 1906, with the maker's mark of John Grinsell & Sons. The base has three grooves for pens/pencils with the ink well at the back. There are no initials engraved on the lid. The liner for the ink well looks to be original and the glass is in a perfect condition. It is a lovely item of a size suitable for the modern desk.
