Description
This is a delightful 1909 silver collared glass flagon from the revered John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton, subsequently becoming Hukin & Heath Ltd.
Made in the traditional cylindrical flagon shape, the 'faux pinching' of the neck where it meets the silver mount and the care with which the glass handle retains a 'hollow core' set this apart from both its contemporaries and more modern items.
A truly elegant early piece from this fantastic maker.
