Antique Victorian Double Ended Cut Glass Scent Perfume Bottle c.1880

Beautiful antique Victorian double-ended glass scent and smelling salts bottle, dating from around 1880. Features a geometric cut-glass faceted crystal central body. One end has a screw-top cap meant for liquid perfume or cologne, while the other features a push-button spring-loaded flip lid designed for smelling salts. Both interior caps feature the original, beautiful gold wash/vermeil gilding, which was historically used to protect the metal from the corrosive effects of perfumes and chemicals. Good antique condition overall with expected wear and light patina commensurate with age. No visible hallmarks, so the ends are likely high-quality silver plate or nickel silver alloy. The internal glass stopper for the screw-top perfume end is missing, which is very common. The spring-loaded push-button lid for the smelling salts works perfectly.
