Description
A beautiful winter landscape of the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire by local artist Aubrey Phillips who lived in Malvern and taught at Malvern Hills College for 20 years. He studied at Stourbridge and Kidderminster Schools of Art and was a member of the Royal West of England Society, the Pastel Society and the Watercolour Society of Wales. He specialised in landscapes of Malvern Hills, the Black Mountains and Scotland. He was also the author of books on pastel drawing and watercolour painting. Signed lower right and dated '77.
