Barometer Case Victorian 1890s Brown Leather & Green Velvet

Victorian Gentleman's original traveling barometer case. C~1890s. Measures external; 5cm diameter x 2.2cm height. Internal; 3.8cm diameter x 1.2cm height. Burgundy/brown leather slightly domed case with plush bottle green velvet to the internal base and matching green silk to the internal lid. Cut out to the side to allow for the barometer bow. Good brass hinge with just a micro bit of play as to be expected. Opens correctly (suspect the original brass catch is missing), closing tightly with a very reassuring click. Excellent clean and bright condition with some overall drawer wear, marks and fading - all commensurate with age.
