Description
A very evocative lithographic print of the Île de Paris with Notre Dame cathedral in the background. Blondin (1913-1991) was a French street artist, most active in the first half of the 20th century. Notre Dame was one of his favourite subjects. His birth name is unknown as he took the name of Charles Blondin, the famous tight rope walker from the 19th century! This is a limited edition print no.111/500. Judging by the clothing of the passers by, this print appears to be from the late 40s/50s.
