Description
An interesting, slightly surreal, woodcut entitled "The Bird's Garden" by Kit Falla MBE (b.1924). Signed by the artist in pencil lower right and labelled as an Artist's Proof. It appears to be printed on some kind of hand made paper. Bankside exhibition label verso.
Kit Falla was a fellow of the Free Painters and Sculptors, a London based organisation and charity, founded in 1952, to promote contemporary and abstract art. She is best known for printmaking, but not much about her life appears online. She exhibited at the Loggia Gallery, which was the principal exhibition space for FPS and at Bankside.

Print in excellent condition. The paper shows signs of age, but it may be that it is handmade and has imperfections. Presented in a plain wooden frame; the print unmounted but laid on board.
