Description
Lovely antique early 20th Century cold-painted bronze of an arab boy on a marble base. Foundry mark on the rear for Franz Bergman. Superb condition and patina.
Franz Xavier Bergman (1861-1936) was the owner of a Viennese foundry that produced numerous patinated and cold-painted bronzes depicting Oriental, erotic and animal figures, the latter often humanized or whimsical, humorous objets d'art.
