Description
Italian (?) antique early 20th Century large bronze statue of a boy (Bacchus?) eating grapes. Signed on the base but I cannot read it. Excellent condition. A statue of a naked boy with grapes most commonly refers to depictions of the Roman god Bacchus (or Greek Dionysus), who is frequently shown as a young, naked figure holding or consuming grapes, the fruit associated with his domain of wine and revelry.
