Description
A very crisp and haunting watercolour of a farm in a wintry rural landscape, entitled "Winter Silence" by Er Roberts. On the back of the painting there are notes indicating that this piece was bequeathed to a person in Gunnerside, Yorkshire. This landscape is very similar to that of Gunnerside so it could well be the location. Er Roberts is a 20th century artist who comes up at auction from time to time, but we have not found out much about him except that he comes from Leicestershire.
