Early 20th Century Mahogany Display Shelf Total height 27cm, 24.5cm at its widest poin, Display shelf space is approx: 17cm in height by 14.5cm wide and 14cm at its deepest. Early 20th century mahogany display shelf,  dating to the Interwar Period, of elegant architectural form. The piece features a shaped, bowed upper and lower section, both decorated with fine contrasting timber stringing, giving the cabinet a particularly refined appearance. The open display area is framed by turned and tapering mahogany columns, with turned finial details, and retains a mirrored back, ideal for displaying small antiques, objets art or collectibles. The lower section is raised on four turned bun style feet, giving the piece a pleasing elevated stance. The warm reddish brown mahogany has developed a good colour and patina, with the figured timber and decorative stringing providing considerable visual appeal. The mirrored interior enhances the display qualities and reflects the surrounding objects. Condition: Good antique condition commensurate with age, with some general surface marks, minor wear and signs of use. The mirror shows some age related spotting and marks.
