A lovely antique George III folding fruit knife, c. 1780, with a well-functioning blade. Features a genuine mother-of-pearl handle with shaped scales, a hallmarked sterling silver blade, brass liners, and an elongated bolster with a ribbed texture, complementing the decorated gadrooned spine. Supplied in a presentation box, suitable for display or gifting. HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925

Good antique condition with some age-related wear. Clean throughout. The blade operates smoothly with a firm half-stop at 90° and a firm open position at 180°, with a strong snap on closing and no blade play. The mother-of-pearl scales display pleasing, vivid iridescence and are free from damage.
