Edwardian Mahogany Gentleman’s Armchair / Library Chair – Carved Detail & Green Upholstery A handsome Edwardian mahogany gentleman’s armchair, featuring beautiful carved detailing, elegant proportions and attractive light green upholstery. This lovely antique chair has a tall, upholstered backrest framed by richly coloured mahogany, with a particularly attractive carved crest featuring scrolling decoration and a central circular motif. The padded armrests are supported by decorative pierced mahogany brackets, while the shaped front legs complete its elegant Edwardian appearance. Upholstered in a soft, light green fabric, the chair has a generously proportioned seat and comfortable padded arms. Its traditional design would make it a lovely addition to a study, library, sitting room or bedroom. A particularly characterful piece of Edwardian furniture, combining decorative craftsmanship with practical occasional seating.
