* A superbly painted Edwardian Miniature Portrait of a young Edwardian Lady. Painted and signed by American artist Mrs Franklin Gibbs of Boston USA, initialled A.G. and has a date of 1907. * All of this information is contained in a hand written note inside behind the miniature. * The paint quality is superb, precise brushwork around the face and delicate painting of the lacework around her neck. * She has bright blue eyes with her hair tightly curled and she is shown wearing a white dress with lace collar with what appears to be a small bunch of flowers below. * Our sitter has been painted facing to the front with an outward gaze and painted against a light neutral background. * The miniature is presented behind glass in a gilt oval pocket watch style frame. * The size of the miniature is 60mm high x 49mm wide, the frame size is shown below.

In excellent antique condition, with no damage to the base, no loss of colour or fading, some loss of gilt to the back of the frame and there is a small edge chip to the glass at around 7 o'clock.
