Edwardian Sterling Silver, Gold and Paste Bow Portrait Locket, Circa 1915

A charming Edwardian sterling silver and gold paste-set portrait locket, dating to circa 1915. The locket has a large glazed framed by a warm gold rim and surrounded by a sparkling border of white paste stones. A paste-set bow surmount completes the design, giving the piece a distinctly romantic Edwardian character. The back opens to allow a second photograph or keepsake to be placed inside. The locket is stamped 925 / Sterling and has been tested as sterling silver with a gold rim. A lovely example of antique sentimental jewellery, both decorative and wearable.
