Exceptionally Rare Georgian Jacobite Sympathy Engraved Glass Perfume Bottle c.1760

Technical Description An exceptionally rare 18th century Jacobite sympathy glass perfume bottle dating to c.1760. It has its original solid ball stopper, the wide teardrop bottle engraved on both sides with a wild six petal rose, foliage, sprigs and a Jay bird at the top. Almost identical engravings to those seen on mid 18th century Jacobite sympathy wine glasses. This is the first example we have seen on a perfume bottle. Date & Origin England, c.1760 Condition Excellent, no chips, cracks, or restoration. Clean and clear internally. Dimensions Height: 15.2 cm (including stopper) Length: 4.5 cm Width: 2 cm
