This rare and exquisite Victorian solid silver scent bottle has a very elegant tear-drop form. It was made by Reginald Walter Hewett and is dated Birmingham 1884 . The cased opaline glass body heightened with gilt bamboos decorations in the Aesthetic movement style. The hinged, fully hallmarked solid silver lid engraved with flowers. The inner lid gilt. The neck fitted with the original glass stopper. Hallmarks: R.W.H & Co for R W Hewett & Co (Reginald Walter Hewett) Duty Mark. Date letter ‘k’ for 1884.

Good Silver lid with a few dings commensurate with age. Glass in perfect condition. Gilt decorations rubbed at places.
