Description
This is a fine and very solid 18th Century antique mahogany single chair of superior quality possibly by Giles Grendey. It is worth noting the the bold and well shaped back legs with the foot sweeping outwards. A very similar example can be seen in the book: The Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840), page.242 fig.435 by Christopher Gilbert.
