The shaped central section includes three cushion drawers, each neatly fitted and smoothly operating. Each pedestal base contains a panelled cupboard door with finely carved column supports flanking either side, adding just the right amount of decorative flourish without overwhelming the simple elegance of the piece. The left cupboard opens to reveal two fitted shelves, ideal for linens or dining accessories. The right-hand pedestal includes a cellarette drawer—traditionally used for bottle storage—alongside additional storage space below.
