A substantial Georgian wine glass, dating to circa 1790.
It has a large round funnel bowl with facet cutting to the base, leading down to a thick hexagonal facet-cut stem. It stands on a large, heavy firing foot, an unusual feature on a wine glass of this type.
A bold and impressive example, combining strong proportions with distinctive construction.
