Georgian Mahogany Writing Table with Retractable Slides

An elegant Georgian writing table attributed to the cabinetmakers Gillows. The table displays a lovely green leather hide which has been hand stained and is decorated with gold tooling which enhances its appearance. There are three retractable writing extensions/slides for additional space, a known Gillows feature, often found on their more functional writing tables and library pieces. The table displays four reeded legs which terminate in original brass casters. This item has been fully restored and French polished in our own workshop which creates wonderful colour and patination.
