A handsome example of a classic straight rail style. Classically English in its design, a style which has lasted the test of time and has been popular for over 100 years. This lovely bed has sturdy 2” posts, round castings and simple design on the clamps, all in good detail. The central upstand has a subtle beehive-esque shaping. Brass has been antiqued and highlighted. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Little Greene’s Jack Black, waxed over to protect and give a soft sheen. All joints checked for secure fit. Suitable for standard Super king Size mattress 6’ x 6’6” / 180cm x 200cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on slats with our Bordeaux mattress.
