Description
This is a good hand woven woollen Heriz runner carpet from North West Iran dating from around 1930.
The carpet has a deep madder field with a column of seven hooked medallions enclosed by pretty flowerhead borders and is flanked by guard stripes. In well woven wool Heriz carpets tend to be soft underfoot and hardwearing. This runner carpet has quite neat proportions, measuring 257cm long by 66cm in width and would bring both colour and charm to your floor.
