Description
This is a large antique collector's dome. An English, glass and ebonised mahogany taxidermy or specimen showcase, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.
Appealing Victorian example, with ideal proportion for desk or mantle display, presenting a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Generously sized dome with a tall, wide proportion and clear, bright glass. Cushion pad to the centre, dressed in a pleasingly textured, faux leather finish. Raised upon an ebonised base with a trio of small bun feet.
This is a usefully large antique collector's dome, of larger proportion and nicely presented. Delivered ready for the collector.
