This is a large antique glazed display cabinet. An English, walnut and boxwood drawing room bookcase, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Exceptional example, with superb colour and marquetry detail that displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select walnut stocks present striking grain interest throughout. Presented in eye-catching, caramel hues, with contrasting russet interior. Marquetry accentuates the top with inlaid oval medallion and fan shaped detail. Apron presents a classic Greek influence with foliate swag inlay. Pair of generously glazed doors, with a clear, bright view of the interior. Inset lock to the right hand door — in working order, key present. Central division creates two distinct sides to the interior. Shelves arranged at a height of 22cm to 23cm respectively.
