Large antique Dutch oil painting study of dog and pups.
Dutch, circa 1950s.
Oil on canvas. Black ebonised wooden frame.
Signed with artist's monogram, Jc.
Depicts a dog and her pups engulfed by floodwaters - a melancholy scene of the dog chained to her kennel which is floating in the water, with her pups, hopefully evading peril.
