Pocket Watch Box Scottish Large Oak Wood Traditional Display 1940s

Gentleman's vintage golden honey oak wood, traditional large and deep pocket watch display / presentation box with a Scottish emblem/shield to lid. (Pocket watches shown are for display purposes only and NOT included). Will accommodate two 16 size or smaller pocket watches perfectly. Measures; 16cm length, 11cm width, 9cm height and weighs a heavy 218.6 grams. Traditional dove tailed golden honey oak wood box with well fitting lid which has to centre a Scottish shield/emblem/flag depicting a thistle to top and flagged castles to bottom. Lined to the internal base (measures 12cm x 7cm) with rich 'Bishops' purple baize (suspect this has been added at a later date) and the four bun feet are lined with bottle green felt to prevent scratching furniture. Excellent clean and bright condition with just a little bit of overall patina and light surface scratches commensurate with age.
