Victorian Gentleman's large and highly impressive 18ct (professionally tested) rose rolled gold (has a lovely soft pink 'blush' and is known in the U.S.A as gold filled), traditional chunky elongated curb link Antique (German) pocket watch chain / Albert with big swivel T bar and original stamped swivel dog clip. Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'. (Pocket watch shown is for display purposes only and NOT included). Measures; 33cm / 13" total length and weighs a heavy 36.8 grams. Bright crisp chunky elongated curb links (measure 7mm width) - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them, reflecting the light beautifully. One of the central links is clearly stamped to one side (within a fancy shaped, recessed cartouche) with the makers initials; S.P - Friedrich Speidel, Pforzheim, Germany (one of the leading jewellery manufacturers of the era). Large and chunky swivel T bar to one end (measures 4.2cm length) with robust and well made original secure swivel dog clip to the opposite end (operates correctly) which is again stamped (within a fancy shaped, recessed cartouche); S.P. Also has a short length of elongated curb link chain just below the T bar with original round link to end - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired. Excellent bright clean condition with just a little (micro) bit of overall wear/patina and light surface scratches (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
