Technical Description A rare example of a 19th century Nailsea glass flask. White opaque glass, quilt moulded and cased in clear glass. Holds approx 3/4 pint. From an exceptional museum quality private collection of Nailsea glass which we will be presenting over the coming few weeks. Date & Origin England, c1830. Period of Victoria. Condition Excellent, no chips cracks or restoration Dimensions Height: 18cm Width: 12cm Depth: 4cm. Historical Context Hand-blown around the time Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter was published on the 16th of March 1850.
