Description
A stunning Victorian silver mounted scent bottle. This outstanding example features a cylindrical cranberry glass body surrounded by a hallmarked silver serpent and topped with a hinged silver lid. The serpent has garnet eyes and the lid opens to reveal a fully gilded interior and the original peg stopper. Serpent scent bottles are rare items, usually found in clear glass and a cranberry example is rather uncommon.
