Description
This is one of 2 Stipple Engravings published April 1802 by R. Ackerman, The Strand, of drawings by Richard Cosway in the Teaching and Nurturing of children. This one entitled "Instruction" heightened with watercolour and presented behind glass in a gilt wood frame. The size of the engraving excluding the mount is 240mm high x 135mm wide, the frame size is shown below.

Celia Rose Antiques has clarified that the Richard Cosway 1802 Aqua Tint Stipple Engraving "Instruction" (LA313145) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1802
condition
In good antique condition with some foxing on the central figures, along the bottom of the engraving but considering it's age can be forgiven, the frame is also in very good antique condition.
