Royal Doulton "The Jester" D6277 Rack Plate

Offered for sale is a charming plate entitled "The Jester" , one of the nine character plates in the Royal Doulton "The Professionals" seriesware collection. This version is numbered D6277, the Jester in this version is depicted wearing a red and green cape with bells on. His head horns are green and his puppet stick is green and blue with yellow trim. The rim is decorated with foliage and glowing lanterns. The D6XXXX series firing was produced between 1948 and 1960. A most attractive plate indeed.
