Offered for sale is "The Mayor" plate one of the nine character plates in the Royal Doulton "The Professionals" seriesware collection. This version is numbered Tc1050, the mayor wears a red robe with a fur collar, a pale blue striped cravat and his chain of office topped off with a black Tricorn hat with yellow trim. The Tcxxxx series (produced 1960 – 1974) Similar to the D6XXX series but made with a much whiter in appearance translucent china.
