Description
A quality set of 8 George IV (c.1825) antique mahogany dining chairs, consisting on 6 side chairs and 2 armchairs. Each of the chairs with a curved shaped top rail or tablet in flame mahogany and well carved ends. The fluted uprights with foliate carving on the top support the shaped arms, the drop in seats recently reupholstered, with a curved seat rail, back legs are slightly out swept and front legs are turned ring turned and tapering, the legs are braced by an unusual turned cruciform stretchers. Excellent colour and patination.
