Stunning Victorian Silver Mounted Cut Glass Scent Bottle

A stunning and unusual Victorian cut glass scent bottle, with a hallmarked silver lid. The body is of flattened circular form, allowing the bottle to stand or be laid flat. It has notched cutting to the edge and strawberry diamond cutting to the reverse. The front is prism cut with a squared cartouche panel to the centre. It appears to be engraved M H. The silver lid is hinged and hallmarked and gilded inside, opening to reveal the original peg stopper. The stunning teal colour is unusual and interesting to the collector, while remaining both practical and decorative.
