Three Stunning Green Wooden Apothecary Pots. German. 18th Century Jars

These three stunning wooden apothecary pots which date from the 18th century have a wonderful olive green colour, are a nice tapered shape and have hand painted decoration. These antique pots which would have been made in Germany have a shield to the front which shows the details of the medicines that would have been stored inside, a gold garland surrounding and have a central cherub's face. Each has a label to the inside lid which shows previous pharmacies where they were used. These apothecary pots would have been used in pharmacies from the 18th century to store medicinal products and is a rare and fabulous set. These look stunning on display so would also make a super decorative piece for the home, pharmacy, hotel etc. Material: Wood. Origin: German. Date: 18th century.
