Tom Coates PRBA, RWS, RI, NEAC (Born 1841) exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibitions since 1880. Featured artist in 1987 of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours, 1990 Watercolour Foundation Prize, Member of the RSPP, NEAC. Awarded the Painters Stainers prize in its centenary year and the critics prize 1887/1988 Sunday Times Watercolour Exhib. First Prize.1992, Horse and Hound Royal Ascot prize - painting to Mark the 49th anniversary of the Queens accession.Work purchased by the Prince of Wales.Contributed drawings to the Windsor Castle collection of members bers of the OM. 1995 President of the Pastel Society.
