Description
This is an absolutely fabulous Art Deco Styptor engine turned Diamond set minaudière with rose gold inlay by the world renowned makers Van Cleef & Arpels dated between 1930-1940s, truely Art deco in style.
Absolutely stunning piece from one of the worlds premier makers.
Impressed inside the rim with Vca Styptor Metal and impressed with the number 41573. Stamped to the outside gold rim with Vca.

Queens Antiques & Collectables has clarified that the Van Cleef & Arpels Art Deco Styptor Diamond Set Minaudière with Rose Gold Overlay (LA470917) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1930s / 1940s
condition
In lovely condition for its age and use. The diamonds are bright and shiny, the rose gold inlay is still bright. The clasp closes tightly with a wonderful snap. The cartouche on the reverse is clear, no names or initials. There are marks to the metal body, but they don’t detract from the piece.
