Victorian Walnut Canterbury Stool

This Victorian Walnut Canterbury Stool is a true multi functioning piece of furniture. Made in English Walnut, standing on turned legs that terminate in brass castors with a ceramic wheel, this piece has many interesting design features. With a crisply worked barley twist column for decoration at each corner, combining with a fretted panel on each side of the piece. On lifting the lid, you discover a conventional canterbury interior layout, ready to keep your newspapers, magazines or indeed sheet music conveniently tucked out of the way. The seat itself is upholstered in a brown hide. Supplied with working key.
