WW2 53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division Embroidered Patches

This is good matched a pair of genuine WW2 era 53rd Welsh Infantry Division woven or embroidered sleeve patches. This uniform removed pair feature the stylized W woven in red thread upon a dark khaki backing cloth. The edges have been folded over for uniform use, and there are clear stitching holes from where they were once sewn. Of note is the division’s participation in the Battle of Normandy, and the Battle of the Bulge, both of which saw heavy fighting. Both patches measure approximately 6.3cm x 4.3cm. Both examples are in nice clean condition, with some light service wear and loose threads from where they were mounted.
