Chippendale Style - Cabinet-maker

Also known as Chippendale

While furniture made directly by Thomas Chippendale’s workshop is sort after and scarce, his 1754 book of furniture designs goes on to influence generations of makers around the world. Today we use the term 'Chippendale Style' to describe a wide array of 18th and 19th Century furniture which embraces his designs or at least the spirit, look and quality of his works. Distinctive features of this style include the Rococo style, featuring wide seats, elegant chair backs, carved cabriole legs ball and claw feet. At LoveAntiques we have a wide range of antique Chippendale inspired furniture to suit all your needs as well as authentic Thomas Chippendale furniture.
