In 1845 Onorato Comitti, an Italian instrument maker, opened his workshop in Clerkenwell, London. He sought a new future in the land that was enjoying the unprecedented prosperity generated by the industrial revolution. His aspiration was to create products that as in investment would retain their intrinsic value for future generations. Comitti remains a family-run business that has an established international reputation for outstanding workmanship and service.
