Spode Pottery was founded in 1770 and is based in Stoke-on-Trent. While the company earned a good reputation for practical tableware, it was also an innovator and created a way to print blue onto the underglaze making it ideal for easily mass producing a range of popular blue and white products. Spode were also responsible for one of the first successful bone china formulas in Europe.
Today Spode is collected for its practical and decorative appeal and remains eminently affordable. At LoveAntiques we have a great selection of antique and vintage Spode products all offered by trusted dealers.
