This is an antique county map of Gloucestershire. An English, atlas reproduction of the Thomas Moule original, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Striking mid-19th century cartography, reproduced in the late Victorian period, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Set behind clear, bright glass with a lilac card border. Later frame with gilt accents, and dressed with hanging wire to the reverse. Fine cartography, as expected of the renowned Thomas Moule (1784 - 1851). Gives excellent detail to Gloucestershire, home of the famous Cotswold area of national beauty. Displays the usual Moule hallmarks of architectural vignette, heraldry and figural interest. Tastefully hand coloured in a delightful palette of appealing hues.
