This is an antique county map of Huntingdonshire. An English, atlas reproduction of the Thomas Moule original, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Appealing mid 19th century cartography, reproduced in the late Victorian period, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Presented behind clear, bright glass with a cream card border. Later frame with gilt accents and dressed with hanging wire to the reverse. Eye-catching cartography, as expected of the renowned Thomas Moule (1784-1851). Gives excellent detail to Huntingdonshire, which held individual county status until 1974. Accentuated with decorative, figural borders and heraldic emblems, a Moule hallmark. Tastefully hand coloured borders, points of interest and decoration adds visual appeal. Pair of delightful vignettes, showing Hinchingbrook House and Brampton Park. Charming foliate patterns accentuate the title, set upon a sash tot he head of the map. Reference is given to the Hundreds, an administrative boundary in use until the late 19th century.
