Antique Edwardian Cut Glass Perfume Scent Bottle Sterling Silver Collar Faceted Stopper

Beautiful antique cut-glass perfume/scent bottle with an impressive faceted crystal stopper and silver-mounted collar. The clear glass body is heavily decorated with intricate diamond, star and geometric cutting, producing lots of sparkle and light. It has an attractive waisted form with a substantial cut-glass base and a large faceted crystal stopper. The cylindrical silver-coloured collar is heavily aged/patinated and bears faint English silver hallmarks, visible in the photographs. The hallmarks are worn and I have not attributed the maker or exact assay date. A lovely example of Edwardian dressing-table vanity ware, with the combination of cut crystal and silver typical of high-quality scent bottles from the period. Comparable examples with hallmarked silver collars are documented from the early 1900s through the 1920s.
